The Tony Award winning show is set in the hustle and bustle of prohibition era New York City, Guys & Dolls soars with the spirit of Broadway.  Guys & Dolls, based on “The Idyll of Sarah Brown” and characters by Damon Runyon, features a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, and an iconic score by Frank Loesser that includes such songs as “Luck Be A Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat,” “If I Were A Bell,” and “A Bushel and a Peck.” Premiering on Broadway in 1950, Guys & Dolls was inspired by Runyon, a sportswriter and newspaperman whose New York-based tall tales are famously filled with colorful tough-guy characters and a poetic and distinctly American slang.
